Roman city and legionary fort Viminacium, Golubac Fortress and Archaeological site Lepenski Vir
We leave the hotel in the morning by bus to Viminacium, a Roman city and legionary fort, which was one of the most important legionary camps on the Danube and for a time the capital of the Roman province of Upper Moesia. After visiting Viminacium, we take the bus to Lepenski Vir, one of the largest and most important archaeological sites from the Mesolithic and Neolithic periods and one of the oldest sedentary settlements in Europe. After Lepenski Vir, we take the bus to Golubac Fortress. Tour of the fortress, which was a mediaeval fortified town, and group photo. Organised lunch near the Golubac Fortress. After lunch, return to the hotel with an hour and a half cruise on the "Silver Star" boat along the widest part of the Danube. Arrival at the hotel in the evening.
The excursion fee includes: a bus on the route Srebrno Jezero – Viminacium – Lepenski Vir – Golubac Fortress and a boat on the route Golubac Fortress – Srebrno Jezero. Entrance to Viminacium, Lepenski Vir and Golubac Fortress, lunch and two free drinks in the restaurant near Golubac Fortress and a drink on a boat.
